Come face-to-face with endangered mountain gorillas and search for wild chimpanzees during this 7-day, guided trip. Meet our representative upon landing in Entebbe and drive to Kibale Forest National Park. Track the troops of chimpanzees that live in the national park.

Your next destination is Queen Elizabeth National Park, located at the base of the Rwenzori Mountains. This spectacular national park is full of wildlife and is known for its large elephant population. Drive from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi and try spotting the famous tree climbing lions in Ishasha on the way.

Day Day Itinerary

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked our driver who drives you to the hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight: Laico Hotel Entebbe Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast

After breakfast our guide will drive you to Entebbe International Airport in time for your flight to Kasese. On arrival, our guide will pick you up and drive you to your lodge. Have lunch at the lodge and thereafter proceed for a nature walk at Bigodi swamp. Overnight: Kibale Primate Lodge or Kyaninga Lodge Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Have early morning breakfast then drive to park’s gate for briefing. Proceed to Kibale forest for sessional chimps tracking experience. Return to the lodge in the afternoon for lunch. Thereafter depart Kibale and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive provides a chance to see beautiful, cool Crater Lakes and possibly the Great Rwenzori Mountains. Overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

The day begins with an early morning search for tree climbing lions and mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. After breakfast, drive to the airstrip for a flight to Entebbe. You will arrive at Entebbe in the afternoon and our guide will drop you at your preferred lodge or airport.

After breakfast head to Bwindi, Buhoma region. This is a long ride but very scenic. Arrive in time for late lunch. The rest of the afternoon is spent with relaxation. Overnight: Mahogany Springs or Silverback Lodge/Buhoma Lodge or Gorilla Valley Lodge or Bwindi Lodge Volcanoes. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorilla. But it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! Note: For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. After trekking, we depart for Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda. This area is often called the ”the ittle switzerland of Uganda” and boasts one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Overnight: Birds Nest Resort at Bunyonyi/Bunyonyi Overland Resort. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, depart for Entebbe or Kampala with lunch stop at the Equator. Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala in evening for either an overnight or departure.
